1. Shanghai Half-day City Tour
Discover Shanghai, a booming megalopolis mixing East and West, ancient and modern. The first stop is Yu Garden, (also called Yuyuan Garden), a famous classical Chinese garden located in Shanghai. It was finished in 1577 by a government officer at that time. Yu literally means pleasing and satisfying in Chinese, and this garden was specially built for as a place to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in the old age.
Close to the gardens is Shanghai’s bazaar, a great number of small streets and lanes where vendors sell their products and food stuffs to the tourists and local people.
Then you will be taken to a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. It is much more than just a drink, and the art and science of making a proper cup of Chinese tea as well as the accompanying elaborate ceremony is very impressive.
A local opera –Kun Opera workshop may be organized, where you could watch the show and learn the opera face-painting.
2. Tongli Ancient Town Day Tour
Tongli is similar to Zhouzhang, but less commercial and quiet!
Built in the Song Dynasty (960–1279), Tongli Ancient Town is nestled to the east of Beijing–Hangzhou Grand Canal, by Taihu Lake, Wujiang District, Suzhou, 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Suzhou, and 80 kilometers (50 miles) from Shanghai.
It is one of the six famous ancient towns to the south of the Yangtze River along with Zhouzhuang, Yongzhi, Xitang, Wuzhen, and Nanxun.
Tongli is famous all over the world as a water town to the south of the Yangtze River. Its rivers, streets, bridges, civil residences, and gardens are integrated perfectly as one, earning it the name of “the Oriental Venice” due to its unique water town scenery.
Tongli has been open to the public since 1986, and the architectures and cultural relics of the Ming (1368–1644) and the Qing (1644–1911) dynasties, such as pavilions, towers, temples, and gardens, can be seen everywhere.
3. Hangzhou Day Tour
Hangzhou and Suzhou are rivals for the position of “Heaven on Earth” and it truly is hard to separate them. Set on the magnificent West Lake, Hangzhou will enchant you with its classical beauty.
The sightseeing tour includes West Lake, or/and Lingyin Temple or Dragon Well Tea Cuture. West Lake, with an area of 5.6 square kilometers, is a place of tranquility, the symbol of Hangzhou. The boat cruise on the Westlake will enable you to see one of the Ten Best Views of West Lake –Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. The occasional pagoda and Chinese-style arched bridges add atmosphere to the tree-lined walkways, verdant islands and hills make West Lake a very special part of any China experience.
As one of the most important Buddhist temples in China, Lingyin Temple boasts many pagodas and Buddhist grottoes. The Happy Buddha is one of the most impressive stone Buddhas there. Flying Peak is an outstanding Buddhist grotto site. Be sure not to miss the amazing stone carvings in the stone cliff face of the mountain.
Explore Chinese Dragon Well Tea (Longjing Tea) cultuare by visiting to Meijiawu tea village to experience local farmers planting, picking, refining and tasting tea. visit the China Tea Museum to learn about the origin, history, present and future of Chinese tea. You will see some exquisite teapots used in the past.
